These rings were created from wax molds that were casted with pewter. It began with sawing and filing the piece of wax to size and to design. The mold was placed in a metal tube and filled with plaster to harden. It then was put in the kiln to burn out the wax; next to be filled with liquid pewter until hardened. The solid pewter is filed and buffed to be smooth and shiny, ready to be worn.
